Encountering The Greatness of Our God 7 hours Conference / retreat Led by Archie L. BostThis conference is designed for seven teaching hours to be incorporated into five sessions. Each session ends with a personal call to respond to God in the light of the teaching of that individual session. The five areas of study to be covered are:
The Study of God
This session deals with the highest goal that a believer can have—the pursuit of God. It discusses various aspects of our need to be seekers of the Most High.
The Nature of God
This session covers the facts that God is a transcendent being, a spirit being, an eternal being, an immutable being, and a triune being.
The Sufficiency of God
This session how God is responsible for His creation, independent of His creation, why we are dependent on His sufficiency and how we find our completeness only in God.
The Holiness of God
In this session we see that holiness is God’s central attribute, that holiness separates Him from His creation, God’s response to sin in light of His holiness, God’s terms for approaching His holiness and God’s holiness and our lifestyle.
The Sovereignty of God
This session covers God’s absolute rule, the fact that God does what He pleases, God’s glory and will, God’s sovereignty and our sin, God’s sovereignty and our perspective, and God’s sovereignty and worship.
