Our counselors emphasize a relational atmosphere instead of taking a strictly clinical approach. We want to get to know you, and want you to get to know us, and through this we, at CrossLife, believe this is the first step of moving forward to freedom through Christ.
Dr. Archie L. Bost is founder and executive director of CrossLife Ministries and has extensive training and experience in both theology and counseling. For over twenty years he has been a discipler of and counselor to countless individuals. His training and experience include a BS in Psychology, a MS in Counseling from the University of Wyoming and a Ph.D in Clinical Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University. He has had theological studies at the European Baptist Seminary and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Bost, an ordained minister, is a National Board Certified Counselor, a Board Certified Coach, a Certified Temperament Counselor, and a NCCA licensed Clinical Christian Counselor. He is also certified as a consultant for PREPARE/ENRICH and FOCCUS pre-marital counseling and is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and Advanced Pastoral Crisis Intervention. He and his wife Kay have been married 40 years, have two adult children and are grandparents.
Dr. Bost has memberships with the American Association of Christian Counselors, Association of Biblical Counselors, National Board for Certified Counselors, National Christian Counseling Association, Southern Baptist Association of Counseling and Family Ministry, and Who's Who of Human Service Professionals.
Grayson B. Oliver, M.A. has been with CrossLife since August 2012 as an intern and was added to our full time staff as a counselor in January 2014. Grayson is from Gaffney, South Carolina, and received his Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of South Carolina Upstate, with emphasis on graphic design, psychology, and communications. Grayson is also a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Master's degree in Biblical Counseling.
Grayson has held ministry positions at Garden City Chapel in Garden City Beach, SC; Wendell Baptist Church in Wendell, NC; and he recently helped plant Generation Church in Clayton, NC, with his wife, Mary, as part of their core team.
Grayson is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and specializes in individual adult issues, relationship counseling, crisis counseling, depression, anxiety, and adolescent counseling ages 15-18 along with their families.
